Budgeting Is The Key To Wealth!

Are You Good At Budgeting Your Money?

Most of us live beyond our means do to great consumer marketing and buying on impulse. But the reality and fact of the matter are that we do use more than half of the things we own and usually, we can always find something we bought a year ago in our house or closet that still has the tag on it. I am a very frugal person myself and always been that way to a degree.

Well, I always like to live in a nice resident and environment and I like to drive nice reliable cars. But when it comes down to buying anything else I have always been a budget queen! I have never been hooked on buying the trended name brand stuff. That never made sense to me because you pay a lot of money for sneakers, clothes, handbags etc just to find that they were only in style for a year. So when I shop I buy what my eye is drawn to and from time to time it would happen to be name brand. I’ll tell you another thing I am a thrift store queen! That’s right I will shop at Goodwill or a good neighborhood thrift store in a heart beat. You would be amazed at how many great suits, shoes or furniture I purchase throughout the years.

So if you have debt try to do what they suggested in the video above.

And please leave me some comments below to keep me informed of your progress.

ADionne – Your Life Guard

This video was very interesting, I had to share it. It really hits home and stands true to the saying all that glitters is not gold. I can honestly relate since I experience what they are talking about at a point in my life.

When I was 27 I had my first house designed and built from the ground up. My ex and I put our hard earned money together to build a dream home on 3.5 acres of land. I myself didn’t want all of that land, that was my ex’s desire. Anyway, going into it was exciting at such a young age. I truly did it because I was pregnant at the time and wanted my son to grow up like I had always dreamed when I was young. I grew up in an urban neighborhood and so did my ex so this was defiantly a dream journey. Long story short right after I had my son the dream turned into a nightmare; as I would find that our relationship really shouldn’t have existed. The crazy thing is, I felt that way going into the endeavor. Although, as people, sometimes the opportunity to have a lifestyle you never had can cloud your judgment, rather it’s for you or your kids!

I was in the home for about 2 years before I called it quits and walked away from the relationship and home. It was amazing how many people thought there was something wrong with me because I had given up so much to start all over. However, what I would tell them all was, “material things don’t give you happiness if you’re not happy with the people you’re sharing them with.” Now, 15 years later I know that was the best choice I could have ever made for me and my son. Our current home is nice and comfortable enough for us and when a guest comes over they always tell me how peaceful they feel every time they visit.

Most of us live beyond our means, due to great consumer marketing, buying on impulse or simply trying to keep up with the status quo. Yet, the reality and fact of the matter are that we don’t use half of the things we own. And usually, we can always find something we bought a year ago in our house or closet that still has the tag on it. I am a very frugal person myself and always have been that way to a degree.

Nevertheless, I always like to live in a nice residential environment and I like to drive nice reliable cars. Though, when it comes down to buying anything else, I have always been a budget queen! I have never been hooked on buying the trended name brand stuff. That never made sense to me because you pay a lot of money for sneakers, clothes, handbags etc just to find that they were only in style for a year. That’s right, I will shop at Goodwill or a good neighborhood thrift shop in a heart beat. You would be amazed at how many great suits, shoes or furniture I purchase throughout the years.

So if you have debt, try to do what they suggested in the video above or think about my story. Since at the end of the day the bigger and more stuff you have the more money you spend and sometimes it can cause more problems. Nonetheless, please understand I am not against big beautiful and expensive things; I am just warning you to make sure your purchases are needs, priorities or something that you honestly and truly can afford with or without a spouse!

Please leave me a comment below to keep me informed of your progress of being more conscious of your spending.
